The Georgia Mass Timber Accelerator serves as a launchpad for innovative wood design—offering architects, engineers and developers the resources and support to elevate mass timber projects across Georgia. This initiative helps turn a bold vision for a project into actionable reality.
Selected project teams are supported through a suite of Accelerator benefits, including:
Preliminary building designs and plans integrating mass timber materials
Life cycle assessment of embodied and embedded carbon comparing conventional and mass timber construction materials and practices
Preliminary cost-benefit analysis for mass timber based on time, materials, and labor
Summary project report with assessments and analysis
$25,000 in Cash
The Georgia Mass Timber Accelerator will be hosting seven Mass Timber Hubs in communities across Georgia starting in 2025.
Stay tuned for more details on how you can get involved!
The application cycle for Round I and Round II has closed. A third application cycle will open in January 2025 with a deadline in early spring.
Up to six (6) projects will be selected to participate in the Accelerator Program.
Any project within Georgia is eligible to apply to the Accelerator. This is different from Round I. The first round was only open to Metro Atlanta, not statewide.
